Sleep Well is a sleep and wellness tracking app designed for firefighters working long or rotating shifts. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Name
• Password (securely hashed and stored by Firebase Authentication)
• Account creation date

Sleep Assessment Data

During the initial assessment and ongoing use, we collect information about your sleep patterns, including:

• Sleep duration and quality ratings
• Time to fall asleep
• Number of times you wake during the night
• Sleep satisfaction levels
• Indicators related to sleep disorders (snoring, breathing pauses, daytime fatigue)

Health and Wellness Data

To provide personalized insights, we collect:

• Height and weight (used to calculate BMI)
• Stress levels
• Physical activity minutes
• Dietary information (caffeine intake, vegetable servings, sugary drinks, fast food consumption)
• Whether you take sleep medications
• Nap duration

Occupational Information

• Deployment status

How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication handles your login credentials securely
• Cloud Firestore stores your sleep, health, and progress data

All data is associated with your unique user account and is protected by Firebase's security infrastructure. Data is transmitted using secure HTTPS connections.

Third-Party Services

Sleep Well uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase - Authentication, database storage, and hosting. Firebase's privacy policy can be found at firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Expo - App development framework

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Daily sleep and health tracking data is stored to allow you to view trends and progress over time.

If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data - Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Delete your data - Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Correct your data - Update or correct inaccurate information
